Step 1 · Map + plan
We scan your eyes in 3D, check tear film and pupils, and design a custom ablation for day and night vision.
Step 2 · Remove the surface layer
Your surgeon selects the approach that best fits your cornea and goals. All are flap‑free.
Mechanical PRK
Epithelium is gently polished away with a micro‑brush. Then the laser reshapes the cornea.
LASEK
A dilute alcohol ring loosens the epithelium, which is lifted as a sheet and then repositioned after laser treatment.
Epi‑LASIK
A blunt epikeratome separates the epithelial sheet without alcohol and it is replaced after reshaping.
Transepithelial PRK
“No‑touch.” The laser removes the epithelium and performs the treatment in one plan.
Step 3 · Laser reshaping
Modern excimer profiles with appropriately sized optical zones sharpen focus and aim to minimize halos.
Step 4 · Anti‑haze protection
In higher prescriptions, a brief medication may be used to reduce haze risk. Your surgeon personalizes this.
Step 5 · Bandage contact lens
A soft protective lens shields the surface while it heals over the first few days.
Comfort plan
Therapeutic bandage lens for 4–7 days.
Short course of topical drops only as appropriate.
Tailored oral meds to keep the first 48–72 hours manageable.
Chilled tears or cold packs for extra relief.
