SMILE Pro for Westlake Village Patients | Christmas SMILE
Khanna Vision Institute's Westlake Village office is a neighborhood office. It sits at 31824 Village Center Rd, Suite F, near the shops at The Promenade and a short walk from the lake. For people who live around Westlake Lake, First Neighborhood or up in North Ranch, a consult is closer than most grocery runs.
Free lot, no stress
The office has a free parking lot outside, which matters more than people think. Follow-up visits after vision correction are short, and being able to pull in, walk ten steps and be seen keeps them easy to attend. Patients from Oak Park, Agoura Hills and Lake Sherwood are typically five to fifteen minutes away. Treatment-day pickups are equally simple for a family member.
Lake, golf and early light
Westlake life is outdoors: walking the lakeside path at sunrise, paddleboarding near the Westlake Yacht Club, golf at North Ranch or Sherwood. Golfers often tell the team they lose the ball in the sky with glasses, or that dry contacts make the back nine blurry. Paddleboarders worry about losing a lens in the lake. After SMILE Pro, swimming and lake water wait about 2 to 3 weeks, and golf usually returns sooner, on your surgeon's advice.
A local office for a big decision
Some Westlake residents assume they need to drive to Beverly Hills for an advanced procedure. They do not have to. Consults and follow-ups can happen right here, and the practice led by Rajesh Khanna, MD, with more than 25 years of experience and 25,000+ procedures, serves patients at both offices. Ask the team where your treatment day will take place when you book.
What SMILE Pro is
SMILE Pro uses the ZEISS VISUMAX 800 laser to create a small lenticule within the cornea, removed through a small opening without a LASIK flap. It treats eligible nearsightedness, with or without astigmatism, in adults 22 and older. Prescription stability, corneal thickness and eye health decide candidacy. Results vary from person to person. Learn more on the SMILE Pro page.
When the answer is something else
Not everyone is a candidate. Patients in their mid-40s and beyond often notice reading vision changing, and for them PIE or other lens-based options may be part of the discussion. Others are better suited to LASIK or EVO ICL. The point of the consult is to find the right answer for your eyes, even if that answer is to keep your glasses.
Getting ready for the consult
Bring your current glasses and your contact lens prescription, and plan to leave soft lenses out for the period the team gives you before measurements. Write down anything that bothers you about your vision today: blurry street signs on Lindero Canyon at dusk, tired eyes after a day on the computer, trouble reading the scorecard. Concrete examples make the conversation more useful.
A Christmas gift close to home
Family members sometimes buy a gift certificate toward SMILE Pro, in the amount they choose, for a relative who has been wearing contacts since high school. It is a personal gift, not a promotion from Khanna Vision Institute. It works best paired with a Free VIP consult, in office and virtually, here in Westlake Village.
